Patrick Kelly

Patrick Kelly - Legal Practice Director

Our Legal Practice Director, Patrick Kelly has dedicated over 16 years to practicing in Queensland in personal injury law.  With a career deeply rooted in advocating for plaintiffs, Pat has personally represented hundreds of injured individuals, overseeing claims for thousands more.  Throughout his career, Pat has successfully acted for plaintiffs in trials involving TPD (Total and Permanent Disability) and other personal injury matters.

Growing up on sheep and cattle stations in far south-west Queensland, Pat is the proud son of a shearer and opal miners.  This upbringing instilled in Pat the value of hard work, resilience, and transparency – qualities that define his approach to the law.

A product of the Queensland state school system, Pat has grafter hard for the opportunity and privilege of advocating for injured Queenslanders.  Pat is committed to helping these individuals and their families navigate challenging times when it matters most.

Katie Burge

Katie Burge - Legal Assistant

With over a decade of experience, Katie has developed an extensive skill set across family law and personal injury law. Beginning her legal career in 2010, she has worked closely with highly regarded family law professionals in the Toowoomba region, assisting with complex cases involving divorce, parenting arrangements, and other family law disputes.

In 2015, while continuing her work in family law, Katie also expanded her expertise by supporting Brisbane barristers, refining her skills in legal documentation, case preparation, and court processes.

In 2019, Katie transitioned to personal injury and abuse law, where her ability to balance legal precision with compassion proved invaluable in handling emotionally challenging cases. Katie then returned to family law as a clerk in 2022, which further strengthened her capability to manage cases involving high emotional and financial stakes.

By late 2023, Katie shifted her focus back to personal injury law, specifically in settlement cases. Katie is recognised for her commitment to delivering thorough and attentive legal support, with her broad background, this enables Katie to manage client communication, legal processes, and case preparation with a deep understanding of how legal issues impact individuals on a personal level. Katie remains dedicated to ensuring her clients’ needs are met with professionalism, empathy, and care.
